On May 28
th,2014, the annual Dragon Boat Festival activity was
hosted in the hall of the School of Food and Biological Engineering. Both international students and Chinese students enjoyed themselves during this occasion. First of all, Wang Weiwei, the president of the Graduate Student Union, introduced the rice dumplings and the origin of the Dragon Boat Festival to the entire students. Furthermore, we learned to make rice dumplings under the guidance of an experience chef. During this process, the hall was full of cheers and laughter. Later, we held dragon boat racing, and everybody enjoyed. After that, we had a calligraphy competition under the guidance of Deputy-Secretary Qu Yunjin, everyone wrote his/her blessing for the Dragon Boat Festival on the paper. At last, this occasion ended successfully with fun, laughter and happiness. Although the activity has ended, the Chinese traditional culture will still be a heritage and carried forward.
