On May 20, 2026, the School of Food Science and Engineering successfully hosted the CSC Rural Revitalization Special Program Study Abroad Information Session. Li Ben, Director of the Study Abroad Center at the International Cooperation and Exchange Office of Jiangsu University, was invited to deliver a thematic presentation, while He Yufeng, the school’s foreign affairs secretary, moderated the event. Over 50 second- and third-year undergraduate students from the school attended the session.

The session took place in Room 506 of Wenhua Building. Li Ben began by introducing the structure of the CSC, national policies on public-funded study abroad programs, and guidelines for searching eligible projects. He then provided a detailed overview of the Rural Revitalization Talent Development Special Program, covering its application principles, competitive advantages, key deadlines, and required documentation. Finally, He Yufeng presented an in-depth profile of the target institution—the University of Leeds—highlighting its geographical location, student population, faculty strength, campus environment, and research capabilities, aiming to help students gain a comprehensive understanding of the university.

The information session provided students with rich and practical insights into public-funded study abroad opportunities, deepened their understanding of application procedures, broadened their international academic perspectives, and ignited enthusiasm for overseas further studies.
