Zhang Di from the School of Food and Biological Engineering won the first prize in the Jiangsu Province Foreign Student Teaching Observation Competition

On November 3rd, the teaching observation finals for foreign students in Jiangsu Province's universities came to an end in Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology. After intense competition, our school's participating teacher, Zhang Di, achieved excellent results by winning the first prize.

The Teaching Observation Competition for Foreign Students in Jiangsu Province's Universities is guided by the Provincial Department of Education and hosted by the Foreign Student Education Management Research Committee of the Jiangsu Higher Education Association. Its aim is to thoroughly implement the "Opinions of the Ministry of Education and Eight Other Departments on Accelerating and Expanding the Opening up of Education in the New Era", actively promote the "Study in Jiangsu" action plan, and continuously improve the quality of training for international students in China. This competition is an important event in the field of education and teaching for studying abroad in China, and has been included in the provincial-level competition recognition directory for teaching competitions for ordinary university teachers in Jiangsu Province.

The international student course "Food Processing" taught by Zhang Di stood out in the school and university competition, won first prize, and was recommended to participate in the 2024 Jiangsu University Foreign Student Teaching Observation Competition. In the provincial competition, Teacher Zhang Di combined professional knowledge with teaching skills, knowledge transmission with ability cultivation, fully demonstrating his teaching style and cross-cultural communication ability.

The School of Food and Biological Engineering focuses on the development of English language courses and faculty for international students studying in China, with the aim of promoting teaching through competitions and teaching through specific points. It creates a strong atmosphere of English language teaching and provides a platform for teachers to share, exchange, and learn about the teaching philosophy, methods, and techniques of English language teaching.
