The School of Food and Biological Engineering at Jiangsu University invited Professor Sajid Maqsood from UAE University, on the morning of July 1, 2024. The professor gave an academic report on "Research on the Production of Special Products and Multi-functional Ingredients Using Camel Milk Protein" in the third lecture hall of the Conference Center. The report was chaired by Professor Chen Xiumin of the School of Food and Hygiene and attracted many teachers, graduate students, and international students to attend.
Professor Sajid Maqsood first made a detailed introduction to the development history, teaching quality, scientific research development, international cooperation, and other aspects of the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU). After that, he focused on the research on probiotic-fortified camel milk, and discussed in detail the research on the improvement of protein digestibility, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity, and calcium ion activity of this new formula milk. Professor Sajid Maqsood's presentation is informative, insightful, passionate, and engaging. After the presentation, Professor Sajid Maqsood held a lively discussion with the participating teachers and students.
Professor Sajid Maqsood's lectures and exchanges have played a positive role in the development of the food science and engineering disciplines in our college. Through this lecture, we not only fully understand the advantages of camel milk, but also broaden the research horizons of teachers and students, effectively strengthen the discipline construction of food science and engineering, and play a positive role in promoting the internationalization of the School of Food and Biological Engineering. This academic exchange activity will build an exchange platform and cooperation bridge between Jiangsu University and UAE University.
