1983: Teaching and Research Section of Agricultural Products Processing Engineering was built in School of Agricultural Machinery Engineering, Jiangsu University of Technology; the Bachelor’s degree program of Agricultural Products Processing Engineering was established.

1997: The Bachelor’s degree program of Food Science & Engineering was established, according to " the Undergraduate Specialty Catalogue of Higher Institutions"; the School of Biological and Environmental Engineering was founded.

2006: To enhance discipline competitiveness, the School of Food and Biological Engineering were established, on the basis of the department of Food Science & Engineering, Biotechnology, and the research institution of Bioengineering.
