It was like busiest week of us. Suddenly we got notification that we (and other students) had to pass the laboratory exam which is not easy enough for us. Most of us did never even have it previously. Moreover, there was other homework we had to finish in the same week, mathematical statistics and presentation of Food Physics Processing.

I decided to persuade all of my friends in Food and Biological Engineering Department to create a team work for study and yes, we found the solution to pass the exam and we all did it exactly one day before the deadline.

From its moment, we realized that passing exam was not a big deal, but it is more about deep friendship, how to create a good relationship with everyone around us. We come from different countries, different ethnic groups, different religions, and different cultures. But we are human, we are students who come to China to reach our dreams. We did not know each other in very first time here, but it should not be like that, cause sometimes we can do our exercises by self, but in another time we will absolutely need help from others, that is why having many friends (from around the world) is the best choice.

Day by day we become closer after and classroom atmosphere is change as well. It is more fun. We call our group as ANOVAs Squad.

Since the laboratory exam stole our focus, we did not prepare for presentation at all, but we should finish it. There is no compromise, all of us did and finished it until 3 AM with just slept for a while until morning, ignored the winter cold which is not easy for me especially, who come from tropical country (Indonesia). But we still felt fun because in fact, we could pass it all well, even though we could not hide the feeling sleepy. Everyone knows that sometimes become a student is hard, but it will be harder if we do not enjoy it. It is not always about studying in class, doing homework, or give a presentation. But how to make it fun until we enjoy the school environment. And of course, showing the sweet smile, best expression, and take a selfie together with friends are always be a good idea to hide all of the bad things.

Walking with a friend in the dark is better than walking alone in the light (Helen Keller).
