This year, Overseas Education College (OEC) once again, organized a scholarship contest in order to encourage students and award them in various capacities. Students were made to submit their application forms in addition with other relevant documents to the secretary of the various schools for varied awards categories. After the coalition of results from the applicants; the OEC announced the winners, among them were students from our school of Food and Biological Engineering, who were selected as an outstanding oversea students. The winners from our school are the following:

-Mr. Frederick SARPONG, Ghanaian, PhD student in Food science and Technologies, Research area: Modelling drying kinetics and ameliorative effects of relative humidity (RH) against browning pigmentation and phytochemicals degradation have already published 5 SCI articles.

- Mr. Muhammad ARSLAN, Pakistani, Ph.D student in Food Science and Engineering. Research Area: Non-destructive detection of food quality and safety, have already published 4 SCI articles.

Supervisor: Zou Xiaobo

- Ms. Hafida WAHIA, Moroccan, PhD student in Food science and Technologies. Research area: Food quality and safety, Postgraduate leader of School of Food and Biological Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Agriculture Engineering and Fluid Machinery Engineering, an active member of Jewels Association as well as a Reporter (for School of Food and Biological Engineering) and Graphic Designer in Olive Magazine and Olive Daily. Finally, Ms WAHIA is a member of Postgraduate (PG) and CSC (Organizer) committee

-Ms. Naomi Hamamba from Zambia, is a master student in Food Science and Safety. She is an active member of Jewels association (serving as Health and welfare officer), Hand-in-Hand association (as Vice president), teaching assistant manager (TMA) under the School of Engineering and also a member of Postgraduate (PG) committee.

Our winners this year are excellent example of the type of reliable students that the scholarship program was designed for. They are a wonderful image of the future of our profession. They are smart, hard-working, and highly recommended by their professors. They all have incredible bright careers ahead of them.
