Food Physical Processing and Intelligent Equipment

Main research fields:
   ■ Application of ultrasound: ultrasonic assisted extraction, ultrasonic assisted enzymatic hydrolysis, ultrasonic assisted reaction;
   ■ Sterilization with the pulsed magnetic field
   ■ The induced mutation of microbial strains by laser
   ■ Ultrasonic assisted enzyme hydrolysis for preparation of functional peptide
   ■ Physics assisted fermentation for preparation of functional ingredient
   ■ Physics assisted modification of polysaccharide structure
   ■ Supercritical carbon dioxide extraction
   ■ Membrane separation
   ■ Membrane bio-reactor

The Supercritical CO2 Extraction of Functional Ingredients from Propolis,
presided by Prof. Haile Ma, has been industrialized successfully and won
the Second-Class Award of Jiangsu Provincial Science and Technology
Advancement in 2005.

Probe countercurrent ultrasonic assisted extraction and enzymatic
hydrolysis equipment was developed successfully by Prof. Haile Ma group
in 2010, and was applied in industrial production of rapeseed peptides.
