Scientific Research Field
My research interests involve the use of multidisciplinary methodologies from molecular biology, proteomics and metabolomics to (i) decipher the underlying mechanisms involved in physiological and nutritional changes in fruits and vegetables during post-harvest storage and process; (ii) investigate the interaction between fungi (such as Aspergillus flavus, Penicillium expansum) and their host and the possible regulatory networks involved in mycotoxin biosynthesis.
Another research interest includes the development of immunoaffinity chromatography and its application to pesticide and veterinary medicine residues detection in food samples.
