Introduction of graduate programs

1. Agricultural Product Processing and Storage Engineering
This Program mainly focuses on the Characteristics and the Nondestructive Detection Techniques of Agricultural Products, Functional Components and Extraction Technology of Agricultural Product, the Bioconversion Technology of Agricultural Product, the Reservation of Agricultural Products and the Processing Machine and controlling of agricultural product. In 2008, the project named as “Development of Non-destructive detection for the quality of agricultural products and the sensor information fusion technology” was honored the second prize of National Tech & Invention Award. A Doctoral dissertation titled as “Apple’s quality inspection technology based on the fusion machine vision, electronic nose and NIR spectroscopy” was ranked among the China’s 100 Excellent Doctoral Dissertations in 2008.
2. Food Science
This Program mainly focuses on the characteristic and development of the functional food, non-thermal processing technologies of food, the nondestructive detection technique and the evaluation technology of the agricultural product, food safety testing and controlling technology, food nutriology, food biotechnology, food machinery and controlling. Significant achievements including extraction technology and development of functional food have been made.
3. Engineering of Grain, Oil and Vegetable Protein
This Program mainly focuses on the preparation technology of functional polypeptide, the extraction technology on functional oil, functional gene of the model organism, the proteome and the biological function explore, the technology on gain dying and storage.
4. Aquatic Products Processing and Storage Engineering
This Program mainly focuses on the polysaccharide extraction from benthic algae, molecular modification and function evaluation, collagen extraction, degradation, antioxidant function from marine resources, extraction, purification and utilization of fish oil, preservation technology of seafood
5. Food Nutrition and Safety
This Program has been authorized to offer doctoral degree, and mainly focuses on the study of immunomodulatory effect of food biological factors, the nutrition and toxin of trace element and its controlling technology, the strategy and method towards the food nutrition of special population, Controlled degrade.
